Persona for Everyone!

I played the first Shin Megami Tensei (Persona) game on the PS1 and remember enjoying it.  It was nice to play a JRPG that didn't involve spiky hair, oversized swords, or an environment built entirely out of fantasy cliches.  Also, I had a thing for schoolgirl outfits.  I enjoyed the game so much, that I don't know why I didn't continue to follow the series.  Though Persona 3's use of suicide as a summoning technique sort of turned me off.  None of the people I know who've shot themselves in the head ever released a kickass spirit.

Still, I'm interested to play the Persona remake coming to PSP.  It features a newly rewritten English script, a streamlined battle system, and new voice work.  Plus, you can play it on the go.  PSP Go, that is!

Because when the game hits store shelves on September 22 (whichever stores still sell PSP games, that is), it'll also be available as a download from the PSN.  Either poison you pick will run you $40.

Since I'm not a moron, I won't be purchasing a PSP Go.  So it looks like UMD for me.  But if you happen to download the thing, let us know how it went.
